NPR : Pittsburgh Still a Player in Steel Industry

Morning Edition, December 19, 2007 · One fact people seem to know about Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania is that it used to be a big steel town. The huge steel mills that used to line the Alleghany and Monongahela Rivers are gone, as are their tall belching smokestacks. But the steel industry isn’t exactly dead. It exists in various nooks and crannies.
